Ila J. Stevens-Briggs, 82, of Carroll Tower, 243 Smith St., died Friday at Roger Williams Hospital.
She was the widow of Augustus Briggs and Harry Stevens.
Born in Dorchester, N.H., a daughter of the late Harry and Altie (Brickford) Howland, she had lived in Providence 36 years.
She was a member of the Carroll Tower Tenants' Association.
She is survived by two sons, three daughters, two sisters, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
