Funeral services for Thomas Austin Ashmore, 77, Retired farmer of Rt. 2, Pelzer, will be conducted at 3 P. M. Today at Reedy Fork Baptist church by the Rev. R. C. Eustace and the Rev. John Wrenn. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers and will meet at the home of J. D. Ashmore at 2:30 P. M.
Mr. Ashmore had been in declining health this past year. He died at the home of Lois Bright near Moonville at 2 A. M. Friday. He was a life long resident of Greenville county and was a son of the late Viney Ashmore and Jane Duncan Ashmore. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Eugene Shipman of Rt. 1, College Park, Ga; one son, J. D. Ashmore of Rt. 2, Pelzer; Two brothers, Earl Ashmore of Rt. 2, Piedmont, and Johnny Ashmore of Miami, Fla; One sister, Mrs. Fred Hicks Jones, of Rt. 2, Piedmont, and five grandchildren.
The body is at the home of a son, J. D. Ashmore in the Old Hundred community. Jones Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
