Mr. Phil Sanders, age 90, of Lewisburg, died Friday night at Maury Regional Hospital.

Mr. Sanders was a native of Nashville, the son of the late Earl and Mary Frank Marshall Sanders. He was a retired contractor and was self-employed operating Home Supply Company for 59 years. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jerre Hunter Sanders in May 2011, and a grandson, Chad Welch.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Goodman of Brentwood, one son, David P. Sanders of Lewisburg, a sister, Betty Lee of Pulaski, two grandchildren, Ashley Klekamp, and Chuck Welch, three great grandchildren, Eli, Sam, and Hank Klekamp, and a lifelong friend, Harold Wiggins of Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 24, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 5:00 pm at London Funeral Home and will continue on Monday until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg or Marshall County Community Theatre.
