A Henry County native, she was born in Manleyville on Feb. 26, 1918, a daughter of the late Henry Obediah and Lola Vick Morton Farmer.

She also was preceded in death by two sons: David Solon Hutson in 2007 and Daniel Hutson in infancy; and five brothers: Henry, John, Dempsey, Tilford and Dugan Farmer.
