Mass of Christian burial for Christine will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mobridge; arrangements by Kesling Funeral Home. Rosary service Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the church. Christine passed way February 15, 2014, at Mobridge.
Christine was born January 07, 1939, at Belcourt, North Dakota,. A daughter of Rosalie (Delia) and Robert Lafloe, she grew up on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, attended school until grade eight at St. Ann's Mission. As a sophomore, she was bussed to Marty Indian School but she missed her family and stayed only one year. Graduating from high school, Christine attended The Aberdeen School of Commerce where she was homecoming Queen during her sophomore year. After receiving her certificate she moved back to the Turtle Mountains and worked in administration for the Belcourt hospital. She worked at Fort Yates for a short period before moving back to the Turtle Mountains where she met Jerome in 1965.
Christine and Jerome were married in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, rural Belcourt on September 27, 1969. They lived in Mobridge. They had five children.
Christine is survived by three daughters and a son.
She was preceded in death by one son; her husband; parents; sisters, Evelyn Delorme and Angela Allery; and brothers, Gill, Louis and Chuck Lafloe.
