"Funeral services for Mrs. Alice B. Wilber were held from the family home at 68 Church street at Oneonta Saturday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Charles S. Pendleton. Burial in Glenwood cemetery. The death of Mrs Wilber occurred Thursday evening about 9:30 o'clock following an illness of fifteen years, her condition being critical for about a week, due to a complication of diseases. Her husband, Robert J. Wilber, is a patient at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital at Cooperstown, his condition being serious with kidney trouble. Alice B. Munson was born May 27, 1845 at Ashland, a daughter of Major M. W. Munson and Roxanne Hummell. Her home was there until her marriage in 1865 to Robert J. Wilber of Fergusonville, the family living there until coming to Oneonta fifty years ago. Since that time she had been an esteemed resident of Oneonta, although poor health had made it impossible for her to be very active. Surviving her are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Mae Fox, who for nearly 20 years has made her home with her parents and who has tenderly cared for both her father and mother and one brother, G. A. Munson of Davenport Center. To them the sympathy of wide circles of friends will be extended." ["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), Aug. 31, 1928, Page Two]
