In 1897, the deceased was married to Miss Charlotte Lockhart. Six children, all of whom survive, were born to this union. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday morning at ten o'clock by Rev. L. B. Jones, pastor of the Delhi Baptist church, followed by interment in the Masonic Cemetery.
Surviving are the widow and three daughters, Mrs. F. H. Whitaker, of Austin, Tex., Mrs. C. E. Lloyd of Shreveport; and Mrs. M. D. Stodghill of Rayville; and three sons, John, Osric and Herman, all of Delhi.
