Evelyn G. (Weant) Barnes(1922 - 2011)Evelyn G. Weant Barnes, 89 year-old resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away November 28, 2011 in Muskogee. A former longtime resident of Mcloud and Choctaw, she was born August 25, 1922 in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Walter Harvey Tucker and Viola Jane Beck Tucker. Evelyn was the epitome of a good Baptist Lady; Mother; and Grandmother. Spending time with her family was her first love. She liked to play Wahoo and enjoyed vacationing on her children's front porches most of all. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lloyd A. Weant; 3 brothers, Guy Walter Tucker; L.D. Tucker; Lmore Tucker; and 1 sister, Syble Virginia Tucker. Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Andy and his wife June Weant of Poteau, Oklahoma; Guy B. and his wife Martha Weant of Braggs, Oklahoma; Larry F. and his wife Patricia Weant of Kingston, Oklahoma; 3 daughters, Karen and her husband Sonnie Boyett of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Pam and her husband Tim Boyett of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and Lola Vinson of Braggs, Oklahoma; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Pavillion at Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma with Reverend Tooney Ropp and Reverend Tim Boyett officiating. Burial will follow in Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
