"Catholic Priests Die; Rites Early Next Week."

Funeral services for two of Chicago’s best-known Catholic priests - the Right-Reverend Monsignor T. A. Kearns, pastor of Immaculate Conception parish and Father William J. Kearney , pastor and founder of the Church of the Most Precious Blood will be held early in the week.

Msgr. Kearns, who served as pastor of Immaculate Conception for upward of 20 years, died last night following an operation at the John B. Murphy hospital. A solemn requiem high mass for Msgr. Kearns will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in his parish church at 1415 North Park Avenue. Cardinal Mundelein will be attending this service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Father Kearney died yesterday in the rectory following a short illness. For Father Kearney, a solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Monday in his church, Congress Street and Western Avenue, with Cardinal Mundelein attending. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

The Right Reverend Monsignor Thomas A. Kearns, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Chicago, Illinois died Nov 6th, 1931. He was 72. His parents were Thomas and Alice (Kelly) Kearns, both from Ireland. Known siblings: Ellen Kearns, Jennie (Kearns) Keogh, Joseph Kearns, Rose J (Kearns) Fitzgerald, William H. Kearns, and Mary Kearns.
