Ruth Irene (Sherbert) Morgan, 94, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice.

A native of Spartanburg County she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Easler) Sherbert and the widow of Thomas Edgar Morgan.

Retired from Abney Mill, she was a member of Woodruff Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include two sons, Bud Morgan (Brenda) of Greenville, Benny Morgan (Liz) of Woodruff; four daughters, Mary Queen of Conostee, Ruby Vinson of Fountain Inn, Betty Williams (Robert) of Woodruff, Mandy Craft (John) of Woodruff; one sister Elizabeth Hand of Woodruff; thirty three grandchildren, seventy four great-grandchildren, 83 great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Dewey and Junior Morgan; one daughter, Sarah Morris; two brothers, David Mack and Alfred Sherbert; two sisters, Grace Green and Nellie Morgan; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one son in law, Elbert Vinson.

Visitation was held 6:00–8:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in the Stribling Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Wayne Hinton, Rev. Steve Christopher and Rev. Barry Sutton. Interment followed in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials could be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29305.
