Queenie Vera Mary Morey was born 05 Sep 1915 in South Stoneham, HAM, ENG the daughter of Francis Herbert Morey and Kate Longman who married 1914-3Q in the registration districr of Southampton St Caths 2c 18.

Francis Herbert Morey attended the first war with the Hampshire Regiment Private 240948; Medal War Office 372/14 and at some stage migrated to Ontario.

His wife and daughter left 24 Northcote Road and departed from Southampton on 17 Apr 1924, aboard SS Minnedosa of the Canadian Pacific Line.

The SS Minnedosa was a 15,000 ton steam ocean liner built on the River Clyde for the Canadian Pacific Shipping Line by Barclay Curle in 1918.

She carried numerous immigrants to Canada and the United States.
