Ethel Francis Blount, 85, of Tad passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Hubbard Hospice House.

Born Dec. 23, 1920, at Cinco, she was a daughter of the late Ambros and Lucy Bowles Crowder.

Ethel was a retired cook from the board of education with 20 years of service.

Her husband, Ronald Blount, preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, Jack Blount of Mokena, Ill., David Blount of Columbus, Ohio, Larry Blount of Hurricane and Ed Blount of Dixon, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Melinda Bailey of Tad and Eldora Dearien of Campbells Creek.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Fred Christian officiating. Burial will follow the service in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Valley Center and Hubbard Hospice House for the care their mother received.
