Marie Christine Thomas, born to Mr. and Mrs. Emeterio Benavides on December 13, 1944 went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2005. She lived her life dedicated to her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew and loved her and will be dearly missed. She retired from SBC after 30 years of service. She was a dedicated and loyal employee who loved her job and the numerous people she worked with. She was preceded in death by her mother, Consuelo Benavides in 1983. She is survived by her three children, Robert Thomas, David (Roni) Thomas, and Andrea (Joe) Benavidez; her precious grandchildren, 'Her Babies', Danny Martinez, Sydney Thomas, Alyssa Thomas, Lauren and Jason Benavidez who will ensure her precious memory is never forgotten. She is also survived by her father, Emmeterio (Adelina) Benavides, and five brothers, Emmit, Robert, Joe, David, and Michael Benavides; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday - July 21, 2005 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday - July 22, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 DeZavala. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friends and family of our beloved mother, sister, daughter and grandmother may make memorial contributions in her name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
