James Jacobs

James E. Jacobs, 68, of 5006 29th St., died April 1, 1994, at home.

Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Jonathan Ivey and Dolin Davis Jr. were to officiate with burial in Memory Hill Gardens and Memory Chapel Funeral home directing.

He served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a lifetime resident of Tuscaloosa and retired from Uniroyal-Goodrich after 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Cherry Jacobs, Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Diana Mills, Buhl, and Gail Evans, Northport; a sister, Bert J. Evans, Northport; and five grandchildren; Bobby J. Mills, Ben A. Mills, Ashlee N. Mills, all of Buhl, Amy M. Evans, Northport, and Shelley D. Evans, Tuscaloosa; and otller relatives.

Pallbearers were to be Curtis Evans Jr., Joey Mitchell, Ben Mills, Ty Hertzog, Donnie Friday and Phil Barton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
