Murdered on duty 31-1-84 aged 29 years
Killed, along with Sergeant William Ritchie Savage (aged 27), by a thousand pound landmine which exploded underneath their car. Both officers were assigned to the R.U.C. station in Forkhill, and were on routine patrol in an unmarked car. Constable Bingham had been in the Force since 1980, and was going to be married in two weeks time.
