William B. Abbott (Bill) of Pipe Creek TX passed away on February 27 2014 at
0641 am in his home with his wife and family by his side.

He was born in Cullman Alabama to Wesley T Abbott and Delphia I. Kilgo January
8, 1934. He married Lilly Faye Williams March 20, 1990 in Bandera TX where he
had lived after retiring from the Air Force in April of 1972.

Bill was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran who was proudly serving as a Flight
Engineer Tech when he retired. He loved telling stories about his duties and his
"bird" of choice, a C-130 Hercules aircraft. He loved flying and at one time had
his own airplane which he used to fly his family between grandparents homes in
Oklahoma and Alabama.

Bill had once served with the Bandera Chamber of Commerce and had helped
organize local events during his tenure. He gave his service to the Bandera
United Methodist Church where he once served as Chairman of Trustees and was
instrumental in organizing many events and activities for the congregation.

Mr. Abbott is preceded in death by his mother and father; his brothers Carroll
and Edwin Abbott of Alabama; a his nephew Timothy Abbott.

Bill is survived by his wife Faye Abbott and his step-daughter Cheryl Turner and
husband Ray of Pipe Creek and step-son Paul "Buster" Williams and wife Teresa of
San Antonio; his daughters Sherry Abbott and Linda Abbott-Mitchell of Wichita
Falls; daughter Connie Pritchard and husband Royce of Wichita Falls, TX; his son
Peace Officer Jeffery Abbott of Yorktown. Bill is also survived by his
grandchildren Randall Loudamy and wife Melissa of Stillwater Ok; Stacy Loudamy
of Austin; Derek and Audri Naranjo of Wichita Falls; Jessica, Christopher and
Jacob Abbott of Yorktown; John Willams and wife Janell of Bandera; and Austin
Williams proudly serving in the US Navy on the USS Ronald Reagan. Lastly Mr.
Abbott is survived by his much beloved great grand daughter Kambri Laine
Loudermilk, daughter of Audri.

There will be a public viewing at Bandera United Methodist Church at 9:00 am on
Tuesday, March 4, 2014 with a funeral services will follow at the church at
10:00 am. Pallbearers will be family members; Jeffery Abbott, Buster Williams,
John Williams, Ray Turner, Royce Pritchard and family friend Victor Farias.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Sully Woodland, Jerry Word and Jerry Alexander.

A graveside service is scheduled at 10:45 am, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Ft.
Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family of Bill Abbott want to extend their sincere appreciation to the
outstanding care that was received by the ICU team at University Hospital in San
Antonio TX, with a special thank you to his day RN Sean Moore who went above and
beyond to take care of Mr. Abbott. Also a heart felt thank you to CIMA Hospice
and his in home nurses Erica and Ashley who did an outstanding job making sure
Bill was comfortable and his family were informed. Also, Mrs. Abbott and her
family would like to thank Jo-Anne Plansker of Alternative Healthcare. She was
the aide that took care of Mr. Abbott before he went into the hospital and Mr.
Abbott was very fond of Jo-Ann.
Memorials may be made to Bandera United Methodist Church of Bandera and the
Disabled Veterans Association.
