Sally R. Quinn
1934 ~ 2005
Our beautiful and loved friend, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Sally Ann Riddle Quinn left us to join her mother and brother on December 1, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born July 24, 1934 in Richfield, Utah to Arvel J. and Dorothy Rasmussen Riddle.

Her family moved to Salt Lake City during World War II, where she attended South High School. Upon graduation, she won a four-year Merrill Lynch scholarship to the University of Utah, where she affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega and graduated with a degree in Business Education in 1956.

After graduation she worked in Washington D.C., on the staff of Senator Wallace F. Bennett for many years. Sally married Thomas A. Quinn in the Salt Lake Temple on December 28, 1960 after a brief but intense courtship. Together they raised five children.

She was devoted to her family and spent her life in selfless service to her husband and children. She was also very dedicated to charity work, serving with the Festival of Trees, National Charity League and the Utah Symphony Guild, for which she served as President.

She was an avid reader and a true friend. She loved her associations with her dear friends in her ward family, Alpha Chi Omega, her book club, bridge club and the Symphony Guild. Sally was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a firm testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. She taught her children and grandchildren of her love for the gospel by both her words and actions all her life. She held many responsible church callings and loved serving in her church.

She is survived by her loving husband Tom; her father Arvel; children Alison (Roger) Peterson, Mark (Robin) Quinn, Melanie (Kevin) Smith, Michele (Taylor) Cardall and Shannon (Ron) Jensen; eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and brother Mayo Riddle.

Mom, we'll miss you every day. You left us too soon but we know that we will see you again and that you have gone ahead to make sure all is ready for us. Thanks for all you have done for us. We love you. And don't worry; we'll take care of dad. ".well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."
