Willis Edward "Bud" Mosher, age 88 of rural St. Clair, was welcomed home into the arms of his Savior, on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Word of Life Free Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. David Wold officiating. Visitation will be held from 5- 8 p.m., Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Tivoli Cemetery, rural Mankato.

Willis was born September 2, 1920 to Joseph and Clara Amelia (Larson) Mosher in LeRay Township, Blue Earth County. He attended Tivoli Country School. On December 8, 1951, Willis was united in marriage to Fern M. Shaw in Mankato. He was a farmer his entire life, milked cows, and did custom corn shelling for many years for neighbors and friends. Willis was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved and enjoyed his life on the farm, his garden, and his animals.

Willis is survived by his wife, Fern of Mankato; five children, Caryl (and Gary) Olson of Austin, Sharon Johnson (and special friend Tom Veigel) of Belview, Eileen (and Michael) Oachs of rural Mankato, Joel (and Tamera) Mosher of rural Mankato, and Lois (and Roger) Nicholas of Eagan; fourteen grandchildren, Keri (and Matt) Doyle, Kimberly Olson, Lisa (and Phil) Lentz, Brian (and Shana) Johnson, Laura Johnson, Jamie (and Amy) Oachs, Jason (and Nicole) Oachs, Julie (and Kevin) Wallin, Kara and Konner Melvin, Kory Mosher, Ashley and Robert Bullock, and Brian Nicholas; six great-grandchildren, Lance and Larissa Oachs, William Oachs, Cash, Creed, and Cheyenne Wallin; three siblings: Lee Mosher of St. Clair, Lorraine Birk of rural Mankato, and Dean (and Deloris) Mosher of St. Clair; special cousin, Clayton Mosher; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Friedella Mosher, Janet Shaw, Charles Lundgren, Richard (and Pat) Shaw, and Helen Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Ron Johnson; one brother, Kenneth Mosher; two brothers-in-law, Art Birk and Ralph Shaw; and one sister-in-law, Grace Lundgren.—Mankato Mortuary & Lake Crystal Mortuary website
