"Regina Sofie, 55, resident of Sequim for many years, died in Sacramento, Sunday. Funeral service will be held, Friday, at Kern Funeral Chapel in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Sofie was born in Mt. Vernon, June 14, 1912. She lived most of her life in Sequim, operating Sofie's Grill there.
She is survived by her husband, Louis of Sequim, two daughters, Mrs. Mina Osborn, Federal Way, Mrs. Mae Mueller, Spokane, four sons, Robert, Long Beach, Calif., Jack, Sacramento, Louis Jr., Seattle, and John Sofie, Seattle. A sister, Mrs. Eugene Swanson, Mt. Vernon, two brothers, Rudolph Elmer, Port Angeles, and Raymond Elmer, San Diego and 16 grandchildren."
