Surrounded by his loving family, Karson was called home March 5, 2014. Karson was born January 25, 1998, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to his parents, Brad and Stephanie Baker, who survive him. He is also survived by his brother, Keller Baker and sister, Bradleigh Baker. Grandparents, Mike and Carlene Hoefler; Ted and Cindy Baker; uncle Bryan Baker; uncle and aunt Michael and Jill Hoefler; great grandparents, Bob and Wanda Castle of Oklahoma City; aunt and husband, Tammy and Joey Garrett of Mustang, Oklahoma; and aunt and uncle Tim and Christie Roberts of Oklahoma City. Cousins Bailey Jo Baker of Boise, Idaho, Hayley Adams, Michaela Adams, Tanner Roberts, and Hudson Roberts all of Oklahoma City; Tara Hoefler, Dupri Hoefler, and Dominic Hoefler all of El Reno, Oklahoma; Zachary Garrett, Zane Garrett and KayDee, all of Mustang.

Karson was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Joe and Alta Jones and Henry and Carol Hoefler and paternal great grandparents Albert Thomas and Anna Due.

Karson attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a sophomore at El Reno High School. He was the High School quarterback, No. 16. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Renaissance Club, Powerlifting Club, FCA, and First Christian Church. Karson trained with the best quarterbacks and coaches in the USA at the DeBartelo Sports Clinic. He was a straight A student on AP track and one of several students ranked No.1 in the EHS Class of 2016. While Karson was an outstanding football player, what EHS Principal, Pat Liticker, said about him was truly accurate: "He was much more than an athlete. Just a good kid. I knew he was God centered. He had a great respect for his friends, he was on top of things, a great smile, everyone liked Karson."

Karson loved Christ, family, football, and his dear friends. He was always a happy "boy's boy" who depended on and cherished his friends and teammates. They were his family, His heart. Karson was the light of his parents' life and they are honored to call him their Son. His family would like to thank the many dear friends who have prayed, supported, and loved Karson throughout his precious life.

Services, under direction of Wilson Funeral Home, will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, at Memorial Stadium.
