He was a 1961 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He was employed by Callas Construction for 20 years. He was a member of Christ's Reformed Church. He was a member of the Alsatia Club and the Train Collectors' Association.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Bowman Mason; one daughter, AnJanette M. Doll of Carroll Valley, Pa.; two sons, Barry L. Mason II of Beaufort, S.C. and Bruce S. Mason of Bethlehem, Pa.; his stepmother, Mary Mason of Clear Spring; one stepsister, Debbie Younger of Maugansville; two stepbrothers, Greg Mason and Joe Mason, both of Clear Spring; and two grandsons.
Services were held at the Christ's Reformed Church, Hagerstown; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown; Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; arrangements were handled by the Douglas A. Firey Funeral Home.
