BACK, Raymond K. age 85, a lifelong resident of Dayton and formerly of Jackson, KY, passed away on March 1, 2014. Raymond was a proud combat veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War with the 34th Infantry Reg., 24th Infantry Division, 34th Tank Company. He retired in 1981 from Delco/Harrison Radiator after 32 years of dedicated service with General Motors. Raymond was a KY Colonel and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Back; and siblings, Seldon, Roscoe, Kelly, Edgar, Carl, Leonard, Woodrow, Wilbur, Edna Mae, Louise, Dorothy, and Pauline. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joy; son, William K. Back, J.D. of Rutherford, NJ; grandchildren, Christina Back of Cleveland, OH, Sarah Back of Findlay, OH; and brother, Robert Back of Franklin, OH. The family would like to thank Raymond's caregiver, Sheila Carr, for her genuine care and concern.
