Extended Illness Claims Billinger
E. B. (Bill) Billinger died last Friday at his home, 608 S. Gresham, after an extended illness. He was born Sept 28, 1888, in Farmersville, Tex.
Mr. Billinger was a retired hotel maintenance engineer, and had also worked as a shoemaker here. He first came to El Reno in 1917, and earlier had been a switchman, engineer, yard master and conductor at Denison, Tex., for the Katy Railroad Co.
Survivors include Mr. Billinger's wife, Alice, and daughter, Mrs. Anna Mahoney, both of the the home; three sons, Capt. Elmer Billinger, Frankfurt, Germany, Estes Billinger, jr., San Diego, Calif., and Jesse Billinger, Longview, Tex.; eight grandchildren.
Also remaining are four sisters, Mrs. N. A. Burnside, Wichita Falls, Tex., Mrs. Jack Whittle, Point, Tex., Mrs. Porter Slack, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Charles Armistead, Moss Point, Miss., and a brother, James Billinger, Roanoke, Tex.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the chapel of the Wilson funeral home, with Rev. Robert E. Cocke, minister of the the Ellison Avenue Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the El Reno cemetery.
