Galeen Marie Noel Driscoll, 64, of Metamora, passed away Wednesday (March 5, 2014) in rural Metamora.
She was born Dec. 9, 1949 in Peoria to Milburn and Bernadine DuBois Noel. She was preceded in death by her parents; Grandma Liz; Grandpa Noel; Grandma DuBois and Grandpa DuBois.
She married David F. Driscoll on April 4, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Jennifer (Joe) Bergman, Joelle (Matt) Felumlee and Garey (Courtney) Driscoll; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Ron (Marty) Noel, Leon (Deb) Noel and Dale (Brenda) Noel and three sisters, Melody (Darrell) Hopper, Carol (Dick) Schertz and Bea (Dan) Elbert.
She graduated from Illinois State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in special and elementary education and St. Xavier with her master's degree. She worked as a teacher for 34 years at Lincoln Grade School, Washington and Metamora Grade School, retiring in 2011.
