Cordie D. Veale, 95, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Veale was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Durant, Okla. She married W.V. Veale on Dec. 18, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1992. They moved to Amarillo in 1929 from Childress. Mrs. Veale was an avid bowler and quilter. She was a loving mother and granny and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was also preceded in death by five children; five brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include two sons, Willis Veale of Amarillo and Mickey Veale of Bonaire, Ga.; two daughters, Lenoria Sands of Sulphur, Okla., and Connie Parker of San Diego; a brother, H.V. Dodd of Durant; a brother-in-law, Arthur T. Veale of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Valeria Williams of Amarillo; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
