Beloved wife of the late V.C. "Mac" McGowan. Loving mother of Jane (Jeffrey) Jenkins, Mary Sessarego, Mike (Sue) McGowan, Virginia (Mike Goss) McGowan, Margaret Raley & Nora (Flynn) McDowell.
Dear sister of John B. Hardin & Judy A. Jordan. Devoted grandmother of Mia, Katharine, Rebecca, Carrie, Timothy & Katharine Elizabeth & great grandmother of Isabella, Phoebe Mae, Linden & McKenna.
Raised in Sequoia National Park & a 50 year resident of West Sacramento, aged 86 years.
A proud graduate of Stanford University School of Nursing. Phoebe was very active in numerous community activities including East Yolo Friends of the Library, various PTA's, The Order of Eastern Star, The Soroptimist of West Sacramento & deacon of her church.
She was also active with her husband in running the family business, V.C. McGowan Concessions & Capital Speedway. The entire family extends a special thank you for the tender loving care Phoebe received from the staff of Gramercy Court.
They also wish to thank Dr. Kenneth Weisner for his devoted care to Phoebe. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1500 Park Blvd., West Sacramento.
