SOUTH PORTLAND - Ada Florence Kane, 85, of MacArthur Circle, died April 3, 2006 at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920 in Pembroke a daughter of Frank and Mildred Robinson Marshall. She attended school in Dennysville and graduated in the Class of 1937.
On Jan. 7, 1950 she married John E. Kane, he predeceased her in 1998. She was a homemaker and was very involved in the activities of her family.
Ada was predeceased by a grandson Christopher McGraw; two brothers, Robert Marshall and Roy Marshall; and a sister Arline Mellows.
Survivors include two sons, John D. McGraw and his wife Carolyn of Leesville, La., and Robert B. McGraw and his wife Mary Lou of Calais; four sisters, Pauline Durand of California, Mildred Gove of South Portland, May Jones of Milford, Carolyn Carter of Edmunds; several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Ada had a special relationship with granddaughters Kathy McGraw Johnston of California and Karen McGraw Davis of Alexander, great grandchildren Darcy Newman, Zach Newman, and Carly Davis; nephew Dale Sabine; and niece Tammy Creamer.
A graveside services will be held 8 a.m., Saturday, May 27, at New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
