Taunton, Cidonio M. Raposo passed away at the age of 81 on January 3, 2014 at Morton Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born in Ribeira Grande São Miguel, Azores migrating to the United States in 1986. Loving husband to Idelta (Silva) Raposo. Son of the late José and Irondina Raposo. He was a Volunteer Firefighter, member of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Association in the Azores and a master craftsman. He was also a member of the Taunton Eagles Club. Enjoyed reading and family trips to Cape Cod. Most of all he loved spending time with his family who adored him greatly. He will be greatly missed by many. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Ana and husband José Arruda of Taunton, Paula and husband Marcos Azevedo of Taunton, along with four grandchildren, Joshua and Jonathan Arruda, Alexandre and Raquel Azevedo.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday Jan. 7, 2014 from 5-8pm, and Funeral services on Wednesday Jan. 8, 10am at Taunton Funeral Home. Following Burial procession to Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
