A number of invitations have been received to the wedding of Mr. William B. Abrahims, our popular shoe merchant and Miss Luella Rader, daughter of Rev. H. M. Rader. The marriage will take place at the home of the bride's parents at Jefferson, Ohio. miss Ella has a host of admiring friends in Carrollton and they will welcome her as Mars. A. gladly. They will come to Carrollton and go to housekeeping soon after their marriage.

William B. "Kilt" Abrahims, 92, Carrollton street commissioner for 23 years until his retirement in 1950, died last Thursday evening in his home at 120 Rader Ct. after an illness of two days. Born October 9, 1873, one mile east of Carrollton, he had resided in this area his entire life. The accompanying picture was taken when Mr. Abrahims marked his 90th birthday with members of the Pelican Club. He was the last charter member of the club, which was organized in 1891. Mr. Abrahims was a 65-years member of the Carrollton IOOF and Carrollton First Methodist Church. An avid sports fan, especially baseball, he had listened to the broadcast of a Cleveland Indians game just before his death. Prior to becoming street commissioner, Mr. Abrahims had worked at the former Tuscan Rubber Co. and had worked at the former Tuscan Rubber Co. and had operated a shoe store here. He had voted in every election for over 70 years, except at the primary last May when he wasn't feeling well enough to leave the house.
Surviving are a son, Dean "Peeny" Abrahims, which whom he resided; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Ruth) Blazer of 276 South High Street here; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Luella Abrahims, in 1952, and a son, A Kenneth "Fat" Abrahims, in May 1961, a former sports editor of this newspaper. Services were Sunday at the Sweeney Funeral Home here with Rev. Richard Swogger officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, Carrollton. Odd Fellow rites were conducted Saturday evening.
