Lue married Effie Cody in Kansas City (Jackson Co) Missouri on May 29, 1909. This marriage ended in divorce(sometime between 1940 and 1953)and then Effie married Lue's brother, Charley January 29, 1953.

Bonner Springs Cemetery record has Lue's name spelled Low. Probably an error--the w might be a u as in Lou. His daughter, Lucille Gehrke, sponsored the burial. She was also the informant on his death certificate. (See Missouri Archives for the certificate.)

Lue was a twin to Loie Tripp. Other siblings are: Rose, John Austin, James, Charles Henry, and Laura.
