Sandy, Utah-Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend left us on March 9th. Born in Helper, Utah on September 23, 1932 to Clifford and Beryl Bowers Davis. She married Melvin (Tom) Monthey on January 30, 1952 in Evanston, Wyoming. Later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an amazing woman of great strength and loved her family unconditionally. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. We will miss her and cherish the many memories we have of her. We love you Mom. Preceded in death by her husband Melvin (Tom), and many other family members and friends. Survived by children Tom (Chris) Monthey, Julie Prince, Debbie Lyon; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; Brothers Eldon Davis and Russell (Lawanna) Davis; Brother-in-law Bobby Monthey. We would like to thank all the Angels at Solstice Hospice, especially Jolene for the compassion and love given to our Mother and our family in the time of need. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to honor Marilyn on Thursday, March 13, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.) A graveside service will start at 2 pm.
