James D. Burns, 85, 6110 Ryan St., Schofield,, died Friday in a Wausau hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday at Peterson Funeral Home, Wausau, and at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Callon. The Rev. Cletus Abts will officiate and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday after 3 p.m. at the funeral home, where a parish rosary will be said Sunday at 7:45 p.m. Mr. Burns was born June 11, 1888, in the Town of Easton, son of the late Mr, and Mrs. Timothy Burns. , On Nov. 17, 1914, in Wimberton, N.D., he was married to Jessie Lenhof , who survives. He was an area .farmer most of his life. ' Survivors, besides his wife, include three sons, Delbert, 1543 Summit Dr., Wausau, Earl, 3213 Vera Ln., Schofield, Leo, Ringle Route 1; two daughters, Mrs. John Arlen, 801 Broadway, Wausau, Mrs. William Goytowski, 2704 Neupert Ave., Schofield; two brothers, Reed, 1406 Jelinek Ave., Schofield, Louis, 314 Porter St., Wausau; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Finch, 8909 Riverview Ln., Schofield; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
