Guntown- Frances Miriah Bryan Owen 95, of Guntown passed away on August 02, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a short illness. She was born October 28, 1919 to Lafayette (Fate) and Valerie Prather Bryan. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. For the last four years she was a resident of the Landmark Community Assisted Living Facility in Booneville. Prior to that she spent her entire life as a homemaker in the Alpine, Jericho, and Saltillo communities, with the exception of a five year period in the 1960's when her husband was transferred to Natchez and Cleveland, MS. She was a member of Jericho Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 05, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Robbins officiating. Burial will be held in the Jericho Cemtery.

She is survived by her sons, Frederick Eugene Owen (Cheryl) of Guntown and William Bryan Owen (Reta) of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Owen Larrabee (Jim) of Santa Maria, Ca, Emma Nicole Owen of Houston, Ms and Amber Paige Owen Shettles (John) of Thaxton, Ms; five great-grandchildren, Audrey Michelle Larrabee, Eli Owen Larrabee, Benjamin Denham Larrabee, Harley Marie Shettles and Lauren Diane Shettles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Eugene Owen; her parents; sisters, Miriam Smith and Mildred Bryan.

Visitation will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday evening between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 P.M.
