Sarah Driskill Reams remarried to James McClister, who was made guardian of Bartlett Reams' children, 1818 in Dandridge TN; October 16, 1818 Guardian bond for James McClister (all the Reams children); 1820 Power of attorney given to Jos. Anderson to act for James McClister;

Bartlett H. Reams, mortally wounded in the Battle of New Orleans, died March 10, 1815. He was also known as Barclay Rheames, and served in the War of 1812, serving in the 7th Reg't Inf. Lived in Jefferson County, Tennessee, died in service March 10, 1815 leaving as his heirs; Richard D., David, Obediah, Elizabeth, Anna, and Jaers (Jane) Reams - see "Twenty-four Hundred Tennessee Pensioners: Revolution- War of 1812" by Zella Armstrong.

Also see "Tennessee Pension Roll of 1835" which states that Bartley Reams received $48.00 annual allowance; $240 received....Jan 22, 1821 pension started.

He was described as being "Five feet, ten inches in height; blue eyes and dark hair and complexion."

Non-Cemetery burial on way home from New Orleans. Placed in this cemetery where his widow and other family members are buried.
