Richard was born June 13, 1940 in Omaha, NE.
He died March 12, 2014 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was the son of Ron Leslie Carman and Virginia Mae Lucas-Anderson Carman. His mother never married his father but instead she married his fathers brother Vernon Carman.
Richard was raised by his maternal grandparents Axel & Mabel Anderson in Central City, Nebraska.
Richard was married 3 times.
Married Connie Herman in Alaska in Dec. 1962 - Divorced
Married Hanna McDaniels in Nebraska in March 1969 - Divorced
Married Donna Shirey Bohmont Cannon in Oklahoma in May 1972. Donna died 2010.

Richard served in the US Army almost 14 years - serving several tours in Vietnam.

He was an amateur radio operator - holding the call KA0DRN. He was also a "VE" Volunteer Examiner for the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club.

He was a member of DAV, American Legion, Lincoln Amateur Radio Club. He was a disabled veteran and was retired from Gooch Mills. He loved to go fishing.

Survivors:
He only had one daughter, Kimberley Carman Reed - with his first wife, and one granddaughter Zanetta Moore.

Richard is also survived by his step children, Terry Bohmont, Mike Bohmont, Patti Bohmont Bomar & Steve Cannon & their families.

Siblings: Robert Carman, Esther Steffenson, Sharon Seefeld (deceased), John Carman, Dorothy Clark, Dan Medcalf, Walt Brandhorst, Brenda Brandhorst (deceased), Lois Schena, & Paul Brandhorst (deceased).

Other survivors: his Aunt, Betty Carter, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins , sister-in-laws & spouses and their children as well as several step grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents, grandparents, sisters: Sharon & Brenda and a brother: Paul.

Cremation, no services - arrangements by Aspen Aftercare, Lincoln, Nebraska.
