Burial will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Rita was born on April 18, 1932, to Otto and Ella (Baisch) Kautzman in Oliver County, ND. She was raised and educated in Oliver and Mercer County.
She married Elmer Neuberger in October of 1948 and they had one son. Together they farmed SE of Beulah.
In 1975, she married Jim Daugherty. They lived in several states following his work ending up in Hazen, ND. Jim passed away in 1997.
Rita continued to live in Hazen and in 2001 she married Otto Voegele in Minot, ND. Together they lived in Hazen and in 2012, they moved to Beulah. In August of 2013, Rita moved to the Marion Manor Health Care Center, Glen Ullin. Rita liked to dance and listen to music. She also loved playing cards and visiting with her family and friends.
Rita is survived by her husband, one son, numerous step-children, 3 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren; one brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Daugherty, one great-grandson, Dylan Neuberger; two sisters, Adeline Herman, Monica DeBour; three brothers, Harry, Danny and Raymond Kautzman.
