Audrey A. Kohl, 55, of Rock Island, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services will be at 3 pm Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be an hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the National Kidney Foundation.
Audrey was born in Rock Island on May 23, 1958, a daughter of Rodney and Valdeyne Gathye Appelquist. She married Ken Kohl in Davenport on June 10, 1988.
Audrey had a passion for children and spent most of her working career as a child care provider. She loved flower gardening and watching figure skating.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Kohl, Rock Island; daughter, Sondra (Dan Denger) Sierens, LeClaire, Iowa; grandsons, Austin and Aaron Bleyaert; and brother, Dan Appelquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward "Pepper" Appelquist.
