Source: Colonial Families: Smith, Vol IV, pgs. 462-463. Samuel Smith b. April, baptized 20 Oct 1644, Barnstable, died 1719 in Woodbridge, N.J. He came to the later place with his father and brothers Icabod and Joseph, received a grant of 103 acres. He appears many times in records named "of Woodbridge son of John Smith millwright". He gave a quit claim to Nathanial Fitz Randolph for lands sold by his father.

He served in the New Jersey Assembly and prominent citizen of Woodbridge.

His will dated Dec 16, 1719. (Old Style Calendar Dating).


Samuel married Ester Dunham, in 1680 and Elizabeth Pierce on June 8, 1690. See Colonial Families, Smith, copy posted to memorial.
