Alida Koster was born in Muskegon, Michigan on July 31,1921. She passed away at the age of 92 on March 13, 2014. Alida was a life long resident of Muskegon. On April 23, 1945, Alida was married to LeRoy D. Hower. He preceeded her in death on December 5,1993. Alida had been employed by Bignal Dental Supply for many years, retiring in 1981. Alida was a lifetime member of First Christian Reformed Church and it's Ladies Aide Society. She had also been active in TOPS for many years. Alida and Leroy had five children, all of whom survive. They are; Robert (Sandra)Hower, Ronald (Julie)Hower, Russell (Mickey) Hower,Ruth (Steven) Boomer, and Ronda (Brian) Bonebrake. She also has 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a sister Gertrude Iverson in Florida. Alida was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.Alida loved and will be remembered for her, baking, knitting, card playing and socializing. She loved her God and lived her Faith. Alida will be missed by all who knew her.
