Dante Calisto Accurti, 96, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon.

Born Sept. 30, 1909, in Sykesville, he was a son of the late Frank and Gemmina Spadafore Accurti.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Margaret, on March 2, 2005.

Dante "Dan" lived in North Huntingdon for the past 48 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II, and was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp. in East Pittsburgh. Dan was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and prior to retiring, sang for more than 40 years with the church choir and for more than 50 years with the Westinghouse Male Chorus.

He was a devoted father to his children, Regina Goossen and her husband, John, of North Huntingdon, Judi Cribbs and her husband, Terry, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dante Accurti and his wife, Monna, of Wormsleysburg. Dear grandfather of Megan and Kristen Cribbs, Dante Jr., Benjamin and Courtney Accurti and stepgrandfather of Nicholas (Emily), Brian and Christopher Goossen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Dante was preceded in death by his sisters, Clara Martin, Dora Biondi and Blanche Bisbocci.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, North Huntingdon, followed by entombment in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.

The family requests donations to Redstone Highlands Staff Appreciation Fund, 6 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
