Clarence E. Spears, 81 of Pataskala, OH. Clarence accepted Christ as his Savior and went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. A Funeral Service will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, September10, 2011 at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Pataskala, OH with Pastor Charles Spears Officiating. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Columbus, OH.
Clarence was born on September 29, 1929 in Paintsville, KY to the late Russell and Madge (Crase) Spears. Clarence served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Owens Illinois after many years of dedicated service as a machine operator. Clarence was a member of the Reynoldsburg VFW. He enjoyed all sporting events, westerns, but most importantly visiting with friends and family.
Clarence is survived by his wife of ten years Elva Spears, his children; Lori(Chris) Coulter, Colleen (John) Van Horn, Mary Beth (Tony) Baumgartner, Clarence (Delafine) Spears Jr., Charles (Debbie) Spears, Rose (Tony) Sanchez, Nancy (Mike) Perry, Betty (George) Schwartz, Sherry (Chuck) Hill, Kathy (Bill) Bringer, Sheila (Steve) Taylor, Barb (Fred) DiNardo, Lisa (Al) Curry, forty grandchildren, fifty-nine great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and good friends
Clarence is preceded in death by his first wife, Laurabel (Ferris) Spears and five brothers.
