Clarissa "Chris" M. Krohn, 80, of Grand Rapids, OH, died March 8, 2014 at Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born May 6, 1933 in Napoleon, OH to Clarence and Hildegarde (Haas) Peters. Chris was a member of Calvary Church in Maumee, OH. She loved to sing. In the 60's she and her family sang on a radio show on WPOS. She married Burdette Krohn 61 years ago, January 25, 1953 in Weston, OH. He survives along with daughters, Janice Bauman of Jerry City, OH, Nancy Meyer of Phoenix, AZ, and Joy (Curtis) Embree of Laramie, WY, grandchildren, Stephanie Neller, Angela Missig, Deanna Michelakis, Amber, Jonie, Michael and Kaylee Meyers, Cheryl and David Embree, great grandchildren, Gavin, Kandace, Ashley, Tabitha, Timber and Otto, sisters, Winifred "Barb" (Bob) Toth, Marylou (John) Sapp, Martha (John) Stevenson, Connie (Charles) Wagner, Judy Arrington, and Joyce (Bill) Belton, and brothers, Joe (Grace) Peters and Bernie (Louan) Peters. She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson, Leslie and siblings, Walburga "Burga" Nixon, Wulfrum "Sonny" Peters and Carol Sharp. Friends and family may call upon Clarissa's family Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 3--8 pm at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids, OH. Memorial donations are encouraged to the church.
