Mrs. Joseph Gower, 86, a Janesville resident for 50 years, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening in her home, 302 W. Delavan Drive. The former Mayme Cunningham, daughter of Jeremeih and Margaret O'Donnell Cunningham, was born in Chicago July 2, 1878. She was married to Joseph Gower in Dayton, Wis., Aug. 13, 1902 by the Rev. Francis Schwinn. They observed their 62nd wedding anniversary last summer. Mrs. Gower was a member of St. Patrick's Altar Society and Crystal Camp, Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Ralph, at home, and Lawrence, Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Leon Geiger, Fond du Lac; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter predeceased her. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
