Dorothy May Werner, 82, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (Sept. 9, 1998) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital emergency room.

Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was a member.

She was born Nov. 27, 1915 in Peotone, the daughter of Fred and Rosa Behrens Werner.

Miss Werner was retired, a 37-year employee of Roper Corporation Kankakee Division.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary; past president of Amvets Auxiliary; and the Stovemounters Union.

Surviving are one sister-in-law, Dorothy Abert of Kankakee; one niece, Linda Mauritzen of Ringold, Ga.; two nephews, David Abert of Orland Hills and Daniel Abert of
Bourbonnais; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

His parents and stepfather Arthur Abert and a half brother, Donald Abert, are deceased.
