RUTH E. BENNETT - 100, formerly of Cape May passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Waccamaw Community Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC. Born in Arlington, VA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Nelle Burrows. A proud centenarian, Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Garden City, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Bennett, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

Survivors include her son, Harry Bennett and his wife, Nan of Murrells Inlet, SC; a grandson, Richard Bennett of Mesa, AZ and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will gather Wednesday (March 19th) from 10:15AM – 10:45AM in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May with her graveside service to follow at 11AM in the Cold Spring Cemetery, Lower Township.
