Arnold W. Cotton passed away peacefully on March 12, 2014 after a long and happy life. Arnold was born January 22, 1918, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Bess Rotenstreich and Jacob Cotton. Except for his years in the Marine Corps during World War II, he lived in Birmingham, where he worked as a Vice President at Jefferson Home Furniture Company, until his move to Macon in 1974 where he was the Comptroller at Kaybee of Macon until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lucille Zeldin Cotton and his sister, Sherry Miller.
Arnold was a proud member of the U.S. Marines, Sha'aray Israel Synagogue and the Lions Club. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, March 14, 2014 at the chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street followed by interment at Sha'arey Israel Cemetery in Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent, in his name, to Sha'aray Israel Synagogue, 611 1st Street, Macon, Georgia, 31201.
