Double Rites For Accident Victims

OAKVILLE - A double Funeral will be held at the Oakville Methodist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday for a mother and her son, both victims of a Sunday morning traffic accident.

The Rev. Frederick Richard, a relative of Mrs. Edna Luttenegger and David Sheridan, will officiate. David Sheridan will be buried in Edwards Cemetery, near Oakville; Mrs. Luttenegger, in Aspen Grove cemetery at Burlington.

The bodies are at the Fry Chapel, in Mediapolis.

Edna Maude Brockway, daughter of Frank and Esther Gordon Brockway, was born at Kingston on Nov. 23, 1895. She was married to Claude Sheridan in July of 1915; he died in 1948. The couple lived at Oakville for many years.

She was married to Henry G. Lettenegger of Burlington in January of 1956; he died in 1966. The family home was at 815 Oak St.

Mrs. Luttenegger was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving: Daughters, Mrs. Viola Crouse of Davenport, Mrs. Bessie Robers of LaCrosse, Wis., and Mrs. Richard L. Smith; brothers, Arthurs Brockway of Wapello, Harley Brockway of Ft. Madison, and Frank Brockway; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

David Frank Sheridan was the son of Claude and Edna Brockway Sheridan and was born at Oakville, on Feb. 16, 1921.

He was graduated from the Oakville high school and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Methodist church and the American Legion. Mr. Sheridan farmed in the Oakville-Huron vicinity. He married Barbara Schwob of Wapello on Dec. 31, 1944. They were married at Southern Pines, N.C.

Surving: the wife, the sisters; a son, David Sheridan, a student at Iowa State university, Ames, and a daughter, Nancy Sheridan, a student at Burlington Hospital School of Nursing.
