Cecelia Brusie
MERIDEN -- Cecelia Peszynski Brusie of the Connecticut Baptist Home, formerly of 1544 East Main St., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Harlowe G. Brusie.
Born in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Mary Smietana Peszynski and was a lifelong resident of Meriden where she attended local schools and church. Until her retirement in 1960, she was employed for many years at the Southern New England Telephone Company and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews of Meriden and surrounding towns. She was predeceased by four sisters, Emily Drauss, Frances Wiech, Harriet Kozuch and Loretta DeMartin; and two brothers, Bernard Peszynski and Theodore Peszynski.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday (TODAY) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden followed by her funeral at St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
