Belford S. Sorenson,
lifelong county resident

Belford S. Sorenson of 5765 Mosquito Lake Road, Deming, died Sunday, March 21, 1993, in Bellingham. He was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gillies Funeral Home chapel in Lynden. Burial will follow in Nooksack Cemetery.

Born July 28, 1916, on the family homestead near Everson to Samuel and Caroline Hendrickson Sorenson, he graduated from Nooksack Valley High School and served in the Army during World War Il.

He married Gussie Dahlgren on May 11, 1940, in Everson. After the war, Mr. Sorenson was self-employed as a logger and farmer in the Everson area. He and his wife moved to Deming seven years ago.

Mr. Sorenson was a member of Nooksack Valley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping.
