ALFANO George, 94, of Wayne passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013.

Born and raised in Garfield, he lived primarily in Little Ferry before moving to Wayne. He served in the United States Navy as a Radioman teaching Morse Code to enlisted men during World War II. He owned MKM Machine Shop of Little Ferry for over 30 years. Mr. Alfano was an avid amateur Radio Operator with the call letters of W2NHZ. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his motor home and loved the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maine.
